Ride to Conquer Cancer - Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
We support the Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre because cancer has affected us all.
For the last 12 years, thousands of us have rallied for The Ride to show that together, we will conquer cancer. This year, the RTCC and Joyride will virtually ride as one global Ride community on Saturday, August 29 because together, we are stronger. We’re helping to raise millions to fund the fight at The Princess Margaret – one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
Our work is not done. We ride (and drink coffee) because together, we can do more.
On August 29, ride your way and join the Ride community in this epic event.

Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world, with an estimated 77,000 Canadians living with the disease. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults aged 20 to 49, younger children and older adults are also diagnosed with the disease.
MS is currently classified as an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves).
The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. They have a membership of over 7,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services. Since their founding in 1948, the core support of the MS Society has been from tens of thousands of dedicated individuals, companies and foundations in communities across Canada. The Society receives almost no funding from government.
This year the MS Bike has gone virtual and is occurring on the weekend of July 25-26 2020 and Joyride coffee will be donating a batch of proceeds from each bag in support.

1/7 young people in Canada report having suicidal thoughts. This year, 150,000 will act on their thoughts by attempting suicide. For hundreds of them, the attempt is fatal. Suicide is still the leading health-related cause of death for young people in Canada.
Things need to change. And young people themselves are leading the way.
Jack.org is Canada's only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health in every province and territory.
For ten years—and ten amazing Jack Rides—Jack Riders have zipped up their jerseys and clipped into their pedals to support youth mental health leadership across Canada. They've fuelled a decade of stigma reduction, mental health education, and increased help-seeking. We now have thousands of young leaders dismantling barriers to positive mental health in their communities. At Jack Ride 2020, we're inviting more Riders than ever before to cycle for the cause. We'll celebrate the past decade of change-making while sweating it out for the future with a goal of raising $1 million. This year, Jack Ride 2020 is going entirely virtual. We’ll still ride together, but from anywhere and everywhere we call home. While we won’t be together physically, this is an incredible chance for our community to come together in a more meaningful and inventive way than ever before. True to Jack Ride fashion, there will be passion, laughter, good company, a couple of delightful surprises along the way, and when we cross the finish line, we'll be that much closer to ending the youth mental health crisis.
At Joyride we're doing our part to contribute to the ride by donating proceeds from each bag of biked coffee sold.
